Silk, Satin & Paper is the brainchild of Diane Campbell. While working as a microbiologist at a public health laboratory in Santa Ana, Diane also found herself taking on the role of party and special events planner for her work group. Soon, she began to organize parties and events for her family and friends. While planning her brother’s wedding in 2003, Diane learned it was possible to have the wedding of your dreams without spending a fortune. When she realized she could offer these lower prices on high quality bridal gowns and invitations to others as well, she began to formulate plans for a business to do just that.
Diane opened Now and 4-ever Bridal Services later that year. Thanks to her arrangements with first-rate designers and distributors, low overhead, and a willingness to cut her own profit levels, she was able offer wedding gowns and invitations at substantially reduced rates. Her customers were thrilled with the price, quality and one-to-one service she offered. Soon, Diane added shoes and accessories to complete a full line of wedding-related products and services.
In 2006, Diane changed the name of her business to Silk, Satin & Paper to more closely reflect her product line, which also includes invitations and stationery for any special occasion. Most of Silk, Satin & Paper’s customers use the convenience of the Internet to order their wedding gowns, shoes, invitations, and accessories. For those who prefer to look at invitations and catalogs in person, Diane added a comfortable studio in Berkeley, California in 2006. There, she meets by appointment with clients to help them explore their options and select invitations, shoes, and accessories without the pressures of a retail store.
Silk Satin & Paper takes great pride in offering brides the high quality bridal merchandise they want and deserve – at a price they can afford.
