Our company provides designer wedding gowns, veils, shoes, bridesmaid dresses, invitations, and more at discounts of 20% to 40% off the suggested retail prices! You can save hundreds of dollars on the gown of your dreams. Recently, we added a private studio in Berkeley, California where you can also consult with us in person to review our large selection of wedding and invitation catalogs.
How does Silk, Satin & Paper work?
Silk, Satin & Paper is a web-based boutique. Our most popular shoes and accessories are available through our online store, and our buyer special orders gowns from many of the industry's top designers. Once you find a gown you love, simply provide us with the manufacturer's name, style number and color using our simple online quote form. We will verify the style, give you our price, order it in your behalf and have it shipped directly to you or any place you designate. It’s that easy to save 20-40%! How do you get the merchandise at such a low price and where do the dresses come from?
We have no inventory of gowns which permits us to keep our costs down. As a result, we are able to pass those savings on to you and provide the individual personalized service that every bride deserves. You will never see a worn sample or a dress taken off the rack for a Silk, Satin & Paper customer. We sell only new, special-ordered, first-quality merchandise.
Which manufacturers and designers are available?
Most nationally advertised gowns are available through Silk, Satin & Paper. We do not offer gowns from manufacturers whose standards and commitment to the consumer are questionable or have proven to be unreliable.
How do I pay for my gown?
All merchandise must be paid in full at the time you place your order, as it will be shipped directly to you. You may pay by check, money order, most major credit cards or PayPal.
How long does it take to get a gown?
Delivery times vary by manufacturer and can range anywhere from 6 to 30 weeks. However, we have done weddings from start to finish in a week - so don't be afraid to ask! We prefer to quote a conservative delivery. We would rather send perfect garments in a time frame that still gets the merchandise there on time rather than risk quoting an earlier date that is unrealistic.
What if I need alterations?
We can recommend competent and experienced alteration experts. When you deal directly with a seamstress or tailor, you may receive additional savings when compared to retail bridal stores.
What happens if I have a problem with a gown?
We carefully inspect each and every garment prior to shipment. However, should you discover a problem simply contact us and the necessary steps will be taken to make it right for you. We believe that our customers deserve the very best that the bridal market can provide.
Why can’t I buy a gown directly from your site?
The gowns we offer are special ordered, so we have to fully understand your requirements before we place your order. With Silk, Satin & Paper, you get both customized, personal attention and prices 20-40% below retail!
Can I see how my invitations will look?
When you use our web-based invitation services, you can view an online proof prior to placing your order. For a nominal fee, we will send you a print proof via fax, e-mail or USPS. Some of our manufacturers also offer "press proofs." Once you approve the proof, we will place your order. If you want to actually see and touch our wide assortment of sample papers, colors, etc., in person, you are welcome to schedule an appointment in our Berkeley studio.
